The daily log is the site diary. Each project has one log per day. If a log already exists for the date you pick, Konverge offers to open it instead.
Write today’s log
On the phone: open the project, go to Site → Daily logs and tap Start today’s log, or use Capture → Daily log. On the web: open the project’s Site tab, then Daily logs → New.
The form has three steps:
- Basics. The date, the weather, What was done today? (the summary) and photos.
- Crew & Equipment. Add a labour line for each trade or subcontractor (workers, hours, overtime, work description and an optional cost code), and an equipment line for each machine (hours, operator, fuel).
- Conditions & notes. Temperatures, wind and rain, delays (with hours lost), visitors, deliveries, safety notes and anything else.
Save draft keeps it to finish later. Nothing in a draft is required.
Weather from the forecast
Tap Fill in from the forecast and Konverge fills in the day’s conditions, high and low temperature, wind and rain for the project’s site, using weather data from Open-Meteo. It uses the project’s site location or address, so set the address on the project first. You can change any figure by hand.
Submit for approval
When the log is complete, tap Submit for Approval. It needs a summary of what was done. Once submitted, you can’t edit it until it’s approved or rejected.
It then appears for approvers under Awaiting you on the phone’s Today screen and In your court on the web.
Approve or send it back
Open the log and choose Approve, or Reject with a reason (“The log still needs labour entries”). A rejected log goes back to its author with the reason, who can Edit & Resubmit.
You can’t approve or reject a log you submitted yourself. Someone else has to. The owner is the exception, because nobody is above them.
An approved log can be exported as a PDF (Export PDF), with your company letterhead. On the phone this works without signal once the log is saved on the phone.
Good to know
- Without signal, the phone saves the log and sends it when signal returns. The sync badge shows it as queued until then.
- A web log can hold up to 30 photos.
